Out of my love for Hip-Hop music in general, where I get a lot of inspiration from and what is going on in society, I focused on Dutch Hip-Hop for this exhibition and created graphic minimalist portrait artworks of local artists, from the founders of Dutch Hip-Hop to the trending artists of our time.

At my exhibition (which was held in "Culturehub Rotterdam" located in the Delfshaven district where the most famous Rotterdam Hip-Hop artists come from) there was a smashing performance by Rapper music artists "Sammie Sedano" and "NEANS" at the end of the evening.

"THE GOOD PEOPLE vs. BAD GUYS"

The Good People love the good life. From eating out with other Good People to traveling and exploring the world. They are constantly pushing their limits.

They come face to face with the Bad Guys, who we know from movies. They may be good to their family and friends, but are put down by society as Bad Guys, because they make the wrong/different choices, and have standards there values.

My inspiration comes from cigarette packs, where the good and the bad come together. The soothing, good feeling that smoking a cigarette can give you and the bad that it does to your health.
